MANILA, Philippines—Rey Nambatac is set to stay with Rain or Shine for another three years after he signed the maximum deal for a contract extension Wednesday.
Edgar Mangahas, Nambatac’s agent, posted the development on his Instagram page.
Nambatac has been with the Elasto Painters since 2017 after the team drafted him seventh overall from Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
The 5-foot-11 forward continually improved in his four years in the league and his campaign in the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup saw him average career-highs of 11.3 points and 4.1 rebounds.
Rain or Shine finished with the sixth seed in the elimination round of the conference with a 6-5 record but got swept in the quarterfinals against eventual runner-up Magnolia.
