MANILA, Philippines—Power forwards Vic Manuel and Sean Anthony are trading places after the PBA’s trading committee approved the deal between NorthPort and Phoenix Friday.

Also included in the deal is the swap of Batang Pier wing Sean Manganti and Fuel Masters big Michael Calisaan.

Manuel, who spent just one conference with the Fuel Masters, will return to the team that he first played for in 2012 while Anthony will be joining his eighth team in his PBA career.

Anthony was drafted sixth overall in 2010 and played for Powerade until 2012 before going to Barako Bull, TNT, Air21, Meralco, NLEX, and finally NorthPort.

The versatile 6-foot-4 big had his best moments with the Batang Pier wherein he was named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 and also getting named to that year’s Mythical First Team after averaging career-highs of 16.4 points and 2.4 steals while posting 7.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

Manuel, who made his name as a bruising presence underneath, spent just one season with NorthPort before he got dealt to Meralco, then Air21, before settling for six years with Alaska.

The 6-foot-4 power forward was the 2018 Mr. Quality Minutes and also won a gold medal in the 201 Southeast Asian Games.
