V.League: Saitama, Jaja Santiago bounce back to topple Hisamitsu

MANILA, Philippines—Saitama and Jaja Santiago avenged its loss and dispatched Hisamitsu in four sets, 25-27, 25-21, 25-15, 25-22, in their second meeting in the 2021-22 Japan V.League season Sunday at Panasonic Arena in Osaka.

The Ageo Medics got back to .500 territory with a 4-4 record for the seventh seed while the Springs slid to a 6-2 card.

Santiago finished with 11 points to help Saitama bounce back from its 25-22, 25-23, 25-21 loss to Hisamitsu on Saturday.

Yuka Sato and Mami Uchiseto led the Ageo Medics with 18 points apiece.

Yuka Imamura led Hisamitsu with 13 points while Miyuki Nakagawa and Asuka Hamamatsu added 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Saitama will play the Denso Airybees next on November 20 at North Gas Arena in Sapporo.
