MANILA, Philippines — It’s been a hectic break for NorthPort.

The Batang Pier on Tuesday traded Sidney Onwubere to the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings for Art dela Cruz, the PBA said on its website.

On Friday, the Batang Pier sent do-it-all forward Sean Anthony and Sean Manganti to the Phoenix Fuel Masters in exchange for veteran bruiser Vic Manuel and Michael Calisaan.

Manuel, however, was eventually shipped to San Miguel Beer, which in return parted ways with its longtime forward Arwind Santos.

Onwubere, a serviceable forward, was the eighth overall pick by Phoenix in the 2017 draft.

He averaged 9.5 points and 5.8 rebounds in 28 minutes for NorthPort last conference where the Batang Pier got swept by the Beermen in a best-of-three quarterfinals series.

Dela Cruz, meanwhile, had a promising first two seasons with Blackwater in the PBA after coming off a celebrated collegiate campaign at San Beda.

He was then traded to Ginebra where he was expected to play a significant role for a championship contender but never got the chance to do so due to injuries.
