B.League: Nagoya rises, Toyama picks up rare win

MANILA, Philippines—Ray Parks and Nagoya notched back-to-back wins, beating Hiroshima, 82-76, in the Japan B.League Wednesday night at Park Arena Komaki.

The Diamond Dolphins, who have won seven of their last nine games, climbed to eighth place with a 7-5 record.

Scott Eatherton scored a game-high 18 points for Nagoya while Parks had seven points, three rebounds and two assists.

Dwight Ramos and Toyama also won, defeating host Kyoto, 94-80, to stop a two-game slide at Kyoto City Gymnasium.

The Grouses have split their last four games after going winless in their first eight starts.

Julian Mavunga starred for Toyama after tallying a triple-double with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Joshua Smith added 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Ramos registered seven points in 17 minutes for the Grouses, who banked on a strong second quarter.
