PH’s Sofia Frank places 5th in Tallinn Trophy short program

MANILA, Philippines—Filipino-American Sofia Frank finished at fifth place in the women’s short program of the 2021 Tallinn Trophy Wednesday at Tondiraba Ice Hall in Estonia.

The 16-year-old Frank had a 50.64 performance following a full point deduction during her routine.

Sweden’s Josefin Taljegård finished first after the short program with a 59.17 routine while Finland’s Olivia Lisko came in at second at 55.27.

Emelie Ling of Sweden took third place in the short program at 53.91 with Latvia’s Angelina Kuchvalska coming in at fourth at 52.39.

FEATURED STORIES

Fanny Lindfors of Finland finished sixth at 49.31 while Antonina Dubinina of Serba and Finn Ksenjia Agafonova came in at seventh and eighth with scores of 47.28 and 42.64, respectively.

Frank and the rest of the field will have the free skate event on Thursday evening (Manila time).
