Parks’ Nagoya, Ramos’ Toyama continue winning ways in B.League

MANILA, Philippines—Nagoya and Toyama continued their winning ways in the Japan B.League on Wednesday.

The Diamond Dolphins blasted SeaHorses Mikawa, 82-65, to pick up their sixth win in seven games.

Ray Parks contributed 13 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals for Nagoya, which climbed to sixth place in the standings with a 12-7 slate.

The Grouses, meanwhile, have made it three in a row after a 92-75 whipping of the Shinshu Brave Warriors behind a triple-double from Julian Mavunga.

Mavunga collected 21 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists while Bryce Johnson also had 21 points and 11 rebounds that went with five assists.

Dwight Ramos had trouble offensively but still managed to score eight points while also collecting six rebounds, three assists and two blocks for Toyama, which is now 7-12 after starting the season with eight straight losses.

Nagoya and Toyama play each other back-to-back games beginning Saturday.
