MANILA, Philippines—Nakhon Ratchasima and Mylene Paat chalked their first win of the season as they stopped Nakornnont VC in four sets, 26-24, 25-21, 20-25, 25-18, in the Thailand League Wednesday at MCC Hall The Mall Bang Kapi in Bangkok.
The win gave the Devil Cat a 1-2 record while also dealing Nakornnont VC, which Alyssa Valdez played for in 2016, its first loss.
Paat was once again in her versatile self as she delivered on both the offensive and defensive ends.
She also had a familiar opponent in front of her in the form of former Creamline import Kuttika Kaewpin.
Defending champion Supreme Chonburi remained atop the league with a 3-0 record while while Nakornnont VC fell into a threeway tie with Diamond Food and Khon Kaen Star with 2-1 cards.
