MANILA, Philippines—It seems that the time off the court has made Alyssa Valdez miss the game even more.

The volleyball star  took to social media to express her desire to once again get back in action and play the sport that made her into a household name.

“Missing the game, can’t wait to be back on the court and with the team,” posted Valdez with picture of her during Creamline’s campaign in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.

Valdez hasn’t played competitive volleyball since the Cool Smashers finished runners-up to Chery Tiggo in the PVL Open Conference in August.

The 28-year-old also didn’t suit up for either Team Rebisco or Team Choco Mucho in the AVC Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Thailand.

In the time she spent away from the sport, Valdez joined the Pinoy Big Brother House where she finished in the top 2 of the Kumunity Season.

She recently caught COVID-19.

The PVL is looking to open its 2022 season in February in a bubble set-up anew pending approval from the government.
