MANILA, Philippines—Rain or Shine guard Rey Nambatac and his longtime girlfriend Kisha Ancheta are ready to tie the knot.
Nambatac announced his engagement to Ancheta on Saturday in an Instagram post.
“Its been 5 years since we first met, i never expect we will go this far. And now its a YES! 💍 idol ko lang nung college. Magiging asawa ko na ngayon (He was just my idol back in college and now he’s going to be my husband). ♥️” Ancheta posted on social media Saturday.
It was a double celebration for Nambatac, who just celebrated his 28th birthday on Thursday.
Nambatac is having his best conference yet averaging 18.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.2 steals per game before the PBA shutdown.
He hopes to sustain his form in the Governors’ Cup which could resume next month after the league was forced to suspend play due to the surge in COVID-19 cases in the country on January 6.
