The historic wins by Rafael Nadal and the Philippine women’s football team headline this edition of Newsmakers.

Nadal set the record with his 21st Grand Slam in men’s singles while the Philippines booked its first-ever trip to the World Cup.

Another tennis star in Ash Barty also celebrated a Grand Slam in women’s singles at Melbourne Park.

Rounding out the list are the streaking Phoenix Suns and Adelaide 36ers center Kai Sotto.
