MANILA, Philippines –Matthew Aquino, son of PBA legend Marlou, made the national training pool of Japan anew.
Aquino was included in Japan Basketball Association’s 15-man pool for the 2022 Asian Games, which will take place in Hangzhou, China in September.
Last November, Aquino was selected to be part of Japan’s pool for the Fiba World Cup Asian qualifiers.
Aquino, however, did not make the cut for the qualifiers.
The 25-year-old big man currently plays for the Shinshu Brave Warriors as a local in the Japan B.League.
The national team pool training camp was set from February 7 to 10 at Ajinomoto National Training Center in Tokyo.
