MANILA, Philippines—Filipino champion Jerwin Ancajas and Argentine challenger Fernando Martinez officially made weight Saturday (Manila time) ahead of their IBF super flyweight world title fight.

Both Ancajas and Martinez tipped the scales at 114.5 pounds. The bout will take place at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Ancajas (33-1-2), who is making his 10th title defense, is the clear odds-on favorite in Las Vegas’ books at -600 while Martinez is at +400.

The 30-year-old from Panabo City, Davao del Norte hasn’t tasted defeat in his last 21 fights.

Ancajas last defended his title against Jonathan Rodriguez, taking a unanimous decision win after knocking down the Mexican in the eighth round.

Martinez (13-0), meanwhile, is coming off a fourth-round stoppage win over Gonzalo Garcia Duran in August 2021.

Ancajas was supposed to take on Kazuto Ioka for a unification bout with the WBO champion in Tokyo but the fight was canceled after the Japanese government closed its borders due to the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
