PBA 3×3: Limitless on track for back-to-back leg titles

MANILA, Philippines — Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser showed the way as Limitless App won all of its three games in Pool A to stay in the hunt for back-to-back titles in leg 4 of PBA 3×3 Second Conference on Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Rosser unloaded 11 points to tow San Miguel, 21-15, and clinch a quarterfinals berth.
Limitless App, also bannered by Marvin Hayes, Jorey Napoles and Reymar Caduyac, also beat NorthPort, 21-14, and Master Sardines, 21-12,  earlier.
The Leg 3 champion, which beat TNT, 21-18 in the final last week, tries to sweep its group against CAVITEX on Sunday at 3:15 p.m. before the knockout stages.

Master Sardines and San Miguel are tied in the second place of Pool A with identical 2-1 cards.
Master Sardines, led by Levi Hernandez, beat NorthPort, 21-10, and Cavitex, 21-16, to remain on target for its maiden quarterfinal appearance. San Miguel also took down Cavitex, 21-16, and NorthPort, 21-13.

Meanwhile, Meralco and Platinum Karaoke also emerged as early leaders in their respective pools after winning their first two assignments.

The Bolts, powered by Tonino Gonzaga, Alfred Batino, Dexter Maiquez and Joseph Sedurifa, turned back Terrafirma, 19-17, and Purefoods, 20-16, to lead Pool C.

Platinum, led by Ael Banal, Yutien Andrade, Chris de Chavez and Ryan Monteclaro, pulled the rug from under TNT, 16-13, and eluded Pioneer Pro Tibay in a thrilling match, 21-20, for the solo lead in Pool B.

The final six games of the pool phase will be played Sunday, whose schedule has been moved from morning to afternoon still at the Big Dome. Three teams will advance in Pool A and two each from Pools B and C, respectively, while the third best teams in Pools B and C will dispute the last quarterfinals berth.

The champion of the leg will receive the top prize of P100,000.
