SINGAPORE – Fans got a little glimpse of action from the stars headlining the ONE X card during a public workout just beside the venue for Saturday’s event.

ONE women’s atomweight champion Angela Lee and challenger Stamp Fairtex along with the stars of the co-main event Demetrious Johnson and Rodtang sweated it out before a number of fans at OCBC Square on Thursday.

Lee, who was out of action for two years and didn’t experience fighting in a controlled environment amid the COVID-19 pandemic, is delighted that she is returning to the ONE Circle with fans in the stands just as she remembers it.

“Just getting back into the swing of things, this is just how I remember it and it feels great. I love the energy,” said Lee. “This fight is huge, it’s crazy to be headlining a card like this.”

“There’s a lot of pressure, there’s a lot at stake but I love that. I love it when the stakes are the highest, I feel like I perform my best.”

Stamp, the adored Thai phenom, even showed a glimpse of her fan favorite “Stamp Dance” and she vowed to strut it out again come Saturday before what is expected to be a heated match against Lee.

Other athletes who displayed their a little bit of their training routines were Adriano Moraes and Yuka Wakamatsu, who are facing off in the flyweight title fight, along with Nong-O Gaiyanghadao and Felipe Lobo, who are clashing in the bantamweight Muay Thai world championship.

Moraes, who last year pulled off a stunning upset of Johnson–widely considered as one of the best mixed martial artists ever–by way of knockout, is looking forward to putting on another show especially with the return of the crowd.

“Last year we [broke] the internet and it was amazing and I can’t put wait to put on a performance of a lifetime again,” Moraes said.
