CJ Cansino on facing UST: No more emotions, I’ve moved on
MANILA, Philippines — CJ Cansino assured all is well between him and his former school University of Santo Tomas as they all moved on from the Sorsogon bubble issue two years ago.
Facing his former team after the rubble that led to his transfer to UP and the collapse of UST’s men’s basketball program, Cansino insisted he had no extra motivation against the Growling Tigers as his only focus is playing for the Fighting Maroons in the UAAP Season 84 men’s basketball tournament.

Cansino was instrumental in the win with seven points, five rebounds and a steal as the Maroons unleashed a second half surge to come back from a 13-point first half deficit.
The 6-foot-2 guard shared he is still speaking with his former teammates and coaches even after their controversial fallout.

Cansino will continue his new journey as a Fighting Maroon as they eye their second win against the National University Bulldogs on Thursday.
