ANTIPOLO — Creamline’s rising star Tots Carlos was hailed as the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference MVP on Friday at Ynares Sports Center here.
Carlos raised her first MVP plum in the professional ranks moments before PVL Finals Game 2, where Creamline tries to sweep the series against Petro Gazz.
The University of the Philippines standout emerged as the Cool Smashers’ top scorer, averaging 18.8 points from the pool stage to quarterfinals and posting 24.5 points in two games in the semifinals, where they swept sister team Choco Mucho.
Carlos became the third Conference MVP from Creamline after Alyssa Valdez, who won three MVP awards in the 2017 and 2018 Open Conference and 2019 Reinforced Conference, and Jema Galanza, who was the 2019 Open Conference MVP.

She was also hailed as the Best Opposite Spiker, leading the PVL Premier Team, which was selected through individual statistics in this conference.
Cignal had four individual awardees with Gel Cayuna winning the Best Setter and Ria Meneses and Roselyn Doria bagging the two Best Middle Blocker awards.
Ces Molina also received the 1st Best Outside Hitter, while Petro Gazz’s Grethcel Soltones got the 2nd Best Outside Hitter.
Dawn Macandili of F2 Logistics was named as the Best Libero.
