MANILA, Philippines—NBA teams have shown interest in Kai Sotto, who is reportedly set for several workouts ahead of the 2022 NBA Draft.

Sotto is scheduled for “a dozen workouts” starting on May 23, as per United States-based basketball insider Adam Zagoria citing league sources.

The 19-year-old Sotto spent one season with the Adelaide 36ers in Australia’s National Basketball League.

Sotto had a promising campaign in the NBL despite playing only 23 games for the 36ers.

He averaged 7.5 points on 50 percent shooting from the field, 4.5 points, and 0.8 blocks in just 15 minutes a game off the bench for Adelaide.

The 7-foot-2 center, who is aiming to become the first full-blooded Filipino to make the NBA, showed off his outside touch in a series of videos on Twitter.

Big men Chet Holmgren of Gonzaga and Paolo Banchero of Duke are being billed as the top two picks in the coming draft, which is set to take place on June 23 in New York.
