Samahan Kickboxing sa Pilipinas president Sen. Francis “Tol” Tolentino said the country already assured itself of seven bronzes and one silver — including that in the men’s action — no matter what happens.

But Tolentino said he’s optimistic the Filipino fighters will not relent and go for no less than gold medals in the finals.

Former wushu champion Jean Claude Saclag, Honorio Banario and Emmanuel Cantores have won their respective matches last Monday to advance to the medal rounds as well.
