MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine kickboxing team secured at least three silver medals in the 31st Southeast Asian Games on Tuesday evening at Bac Ninh Gymnasium in Vietnam.

Jean Claude Saclag, Claudine Veloso, and Renalyn Daquel have reached the final after winning their respective semifinal bouts.

Saclag beat hometown bet Vu Truong Giang in the low kick men 63.5kg to reach the gold medal match.

Renalyn Daquel got the better of Thai opponent Boonpeng Kanwara in the full contact female 48kg to earn a shot at a gold medal.

Claudine Veloso also beat Vietnamese Bui Hai Linh in their semifinal duel in the low kick female 52kg.
