Filipino gymnastics star Carlos Yulo won his second gold in the 31st Southeast Asian Games, dominating the men’s floor exercise competition on Saturday at Quan Ngua Sports Palace in Hanoi, Vietnam.

With a flawless performance that showed why he’s one of the best in the world, Yulo garnered a score of 15.200 with 6.300 in difficulty and 8.900 in execution to retain his floor exercise title in the biennial meet.

Yulo’s closest competitor was Singapore’s Tay Wei-An Terry, who scored 14.033 to claim the silver, while Khang Trinh Hai from Vietnam wound up with bronze with a mark of 14.000.

The world champion also won gold last Friday in the individual all-around and a silver medal in the Team event along with the men’s gymnastics team.

Yulo has a chance to win two more golds as he competes in rings and pommel horse later in the day.

The other Filipino gymnast in the men’s exercise event, John Ivan Cruz, placed fourth with 13.833.

Meanwhile, Yulo missed the podium in pommel horse. Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien of host Vietnam bagged the gold while Malaysia’s Fu Jie Tan and Muhammad Sharul Amy finished with the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
