SEA Games: PH athletics team hauls silver, bronze medals
MANILA, Philippines — Sarah Dequinan settled for a runner-up finish in women’s heptathlon, while Mark Harry Diones also got a silver medal in the men’s triple jump on Tuesday in the 31st Southeast Asian Games at My Dinh Stadium.

Dequinan surpassed her previous record of 5,101 points. But her best wasn’t enough to repeat as gold medalist.
Her compatriot, Alexie Caimoso placed fifth with 4,375 points in her first SEA Games.
Diones tallied 15.87 meters for the silver of the men’s triple jump as Malaysia’s Andre Anura Anuar leaped 16.51 m for the gold.
Meanwhile, Robyn Brown won a bronze medal in the women’s 400m hurdles, clocking 56.44 seconds just 0.11 ticks behind gold medalist Lan Quach Thi (56.33) and 0.03 short from runner-up Huyen Nguyen Thi (56.41).
