MANILA, Philippines—La Salle engaged Far Eastern University in a tight opening set before tearing the match apart, 25-23, 25-13, 25-14, Saturday night in the UAAP Season 84 women’s volleyball tournament at Mall of Asia Arena.
The Lady Spikers broke the resolve of the young Lady Tamaraws in the nip and tuck first set and then cruised to their sixth win against three defeats.
Thea Gagate led La Salle with 14 points including five blocks.
The Lady Tamaraws absorbed their sixth straight setback to fall to 1-8.
