MANILA—Forest Hills ruled two of three divisions as it boosted its campaign in the second leg of the Women’s Golf Association of the Philippines (WGAP) circuit at the Forest Hills Golf and Country Club recently.
Mi Hee Kwak Kim turned in 40 points under the Modified Stableford system while Grace Atienza, Violy Pegels and Nelda Roguel each scored 36 as Forest Hills pooled a 148 for a 13-point romp over Tagaytay Highlands, which had a 135, in Class A.
The hosts also trounced their rivals in Class C, assembling a 169 for an 18-point win over Alabang (151) while losing by just one point to Canlubang, 137-138, for the Class B plum.
The Highlanders drew 38 points from Virginia Bote while Nini Eustaquio, Rosalie Heo and Emalina Flores added 34, 32 and 21 points, respectively, for the team’s 135 total and a runner-up finish in the premier class.
Canlubang was led by Angie Bondad’s 39 in Class B.
Anli Wu (48), Mary Ang (41), Marilyn Co (41) and Evelyn Alcantara (39), on the other hand, led Forest Hills in Class C with a 169.
