PBA: Meralco wards off Rain or Shine to halt two-game skid
MANILA, Philippines–Playing a desperate enemy also looking to get out of a hole, Meralco displayed steely nerves when it mattered most on Wednesday, pulling out a 77-73 victory over Rain or Shine in the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.

“It’s hard for us. We just had to help each other. The players chipped in. One game is good. But we still have three games, back-to-back-to-back,” said Luigi Trillo, who was standing in for head coach Norman Black who is tending to his ailing mother.
