Five Filipino players invited to Basketball Without Borders Asia camp

MANILA, Philippines–Five Filipino players are participating in the 12th Basketball Without Borders Asia camp in Canberra, Australia this month.

National youth players Caelum Harris, Jared Bahay and Camille Nolasco along with LA John Andres and Quinn Kacey Dela Rosa are among the 60 male and female players aged 18 and under from the Asia-Pacific who were invited to the program.

The camp, which is a joint project of the NBA and International Basketball Federation (Fiba), will be held at NBA Global Academy in Basketball Australia’s Centre of Excellence from Aug. 7 to 10.

The young players will learn directly from current and former NBA, WNBA and Fiba players and coaches.

Leading this year’s mentors for the BWB are NBA players Jarrett Allen, Josh Green, Cameron Johnson and Coby White, WNBA players Kristi Harrower and Annie La Fleur and Australian national team player Jenni Screen.

NBA and national team coaches are also on tap to guide the attendees through a variety of basketball activities.

According to the NBA, 41 players on the 2021-22  NBA opening night rosters were former BWB campers.
