Filoil: NU, La Salle hope to stay perfect in quarterfinals

MANILA, Philippines—Undefeated teams National University and La Salle aim to sustain their winning ways when the Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup quarterfinals tips off Tuesday at San Juan Arena.

The Bulldogs, who swept Group A, face San Sebastian in the knockout quarters at 3 p.m. The Stags advanced to the playoffs as the fourth seed in Group B after escaping Jose Rizal University on Saturday.

NU went 8-0 in the elimination round following an 87-82 win over Perpetual Help on Thursday.

Group B leader La Salle clashes with Group A No. 4 College of St. Benilde in the main game at 5 p.m. The Green Archers cruised to a 7-0 slate after overpowering undermanned Letran, 90-54, on Saturday.
