EAC’s Nat Cosejo leads Team Heroes to victory in NCAA All-Star Game

MANILA, Philippines—Team Heroes squeaked past Team Saints, 98-95, in the NCAA All-Star Game at San Juan Arena on Saturday.

Heroes used a 26-point fourth quarter to gut out a win, powered by Emilio Aguinaldo College big man Nat Cosejo with 16 points and seven rebounds. Cosejo also went home with the NCAA Season 98 All-Star MVP plum.

The Celebrity MVP award was given to Raheel Bhyria, a GMA artist, from the same team as he scored 12 in the win.

Cosejo and Bhyria also had help from PBA legend Allan Caidic who finished with 14 points from four made three-point baskets. Warren Bonifacio also had a double-double in the victory with 14 markers and 11 boards.

Saints, on the other hand, relied on San Beda star James Kwekuteye, who scored 15 points, five assists and four rebounds. Former PBA player Willie Miller also added 12 in a losing effort.

They fielded personalities Chef Sarasola, Jeric Gonzales, Kirst Viray and Prince Clemente while also having Miller and PBA legend Marlou Aquino.

Heroes, meanwhile, had Bhyria, Pancho Magno, Migs Villasis and Kokoy De Santos while playing basketball greats Jerry Codiñera and Caidic.
