MANILA, Philippines—Thai coach Anusorn “Tai” Bundit, who’s won titles in the Philippines, got back to his winning ways in Thailand.

Bundit, a former mentor for the Ateneo women’s volleyball team in the UAAP and the Creamline Cool Smashers in the Premier Volleyball League, led the men’s and women’s teams of Nakhon Ratchasima in the Volleyball Thailand League on Sunday.

He steered Nakhon to a sweep of Phitsanulok Volleyball, 25-21, 25-17, 25-21, in men’s action while also guiding the women’s team to a 12-25, 25-23, 26-28, 25-20, 15-11 squeaker over Diamond Food.

Bundit won two VTL crowns in just a span of three months, only having signed with Nakhon last November.

“This is my first year in [my] career as the coach in [Volleyball League Thailand]. Even in Thailand, nobody knew me in the beginning. Who is that coach Tai? [Where did he come from?],” Bundit, a former assistant coach of the Philippine women’s volleyball team, posted on social media.

“I tried to do my best. Now, They know me,” he said.

Bundit is no stranger to winning.

He made a name for himself in the UAAP for helping Ateneo claim two championships in Seasons 76 and 77.

After his colorful run in Katipunan, the veteran tactician went on to continue his tremendous coaching run, this time in the professional league PVL. He powered Creamline to three titles during his time.
