KBL: Dave Ildefonso helps Suwon beat Ethan Alvano, Wonju

MANILA, Philippines—Dave Ildefonso and Ethan Alvano had quite the showdown on Wednesday in the Korean Basketball League at Suwon KT Arena.

It was, however, Ildefonso and the Sonicboom who emerged victorious over Wonju DB Promy, 77-65.

Ildefonso, who is slowly finding his footing at Suwon, played for 34 minutes as a starter and finished with 14 points built on two triples that went with four assists and two steals as the Sonicboom improved to a 19-25 record.

Alvano also finished with 14 points on top of four rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Ki Hyun-Ho matched Alvano’s output with 14 for Wonju, which tripped to 16-27.

Over at Daegu Gymnasium, home bets KOGAS Pegasus defeated the Goyang Carrot Jumpers, 83-76, despite another cold night from SJ Belangel.

Belangel played for just 10 minutes, tallying two points, four rebounds and three assists.

Daegu (16-29) leaned on Jong Hyo-Geun and Devon Scott, who both recorded 19 points.

Dedric Lawson tallied 21 points for Goyang, which slipped to 22-21.
