MANILA, Philippines–Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus trounced the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus anew, 86-75, behind RJ Abarrientos’ stellar showing in the Korean Basketball League at Ulsan Dongchun Gymnasium on Tuesday.
Abarrientos flaunted his shooting prowess in the victory, scoring 18 points built on an efficient 46.67 percent shooting clip from the field (7-of-15). He also notched a double-double with 13 assists to go along with three rebounds and two steals.
Gauge Prim continued to be Ulsan’s inside anchor in the win, registering 24 points and 10 rebounds to power Mobis Phoebus for a 30-19 record.
Abarrientos’s Filipino counterpart in Daegu also had quite the game. SJ Belangel sank five of his nine attempts from the court to finish with 12 points and two steals in 20 minutes.
However, it was Davon Scott who poured it all for the Pegasus (17-33) with 14 markers, nine boards and three dimes, but it was all for naught.
Anyang KGC, which took home the EASL Champions Week crown in Okinawa a few weeks back, remains at the top of the ladder with 34 wins and 14 losses.
