For Nonito Donaire Jr., becoming the undisputed world super bantamweight champion is a cherished dream.

Though he’s not looking past South African titlist Jeffrey Mathebula, whom he’s facing in a unification bout on July 7 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, the Filipino Flash said he wants to take all the 122-pound titles from the four major boxing bodies (WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF).

The 29-year-old Donaire told Boxingscene.com: “To be a unified champion and then challenge anyone out there and make me undisputed is a dream.”

Ranked in the top 5 in most  pound-for-pound list, Donaire said his focus right now is the 5-foot-10 Mathebula, the IBF champion who will fight for the first time in the United States but whose sheer size could very well spell danger.

“We have to be patient and hold on to the belts,” said Donaire.
