MANILA, Philippines—Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are set for a historical main event on Night 2 of WWE’s Wrestlemania 39 at SoFI Stadium in Hollywood, California, on Monday (Philippine time).

Reigns is groomed to tie Triple H’s Wrestlemania main-event count at seven, while Rhodes will be the first in his family to challenge for the World Championship at the “Grandest Stage Of Them All” despite his father Dusty’s success.

Reigns will also look to extend his long title run as he nears the 1000-day count. The multi-titled fighter has been a World champion for 943 days, as of writing.

The RAW Women’s title will also up for grabs between current champ Bianca Belair and Asuka. Gunther, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre will also collide in a triple threat match for the Intercontinental strap.

The gargantuan Omos will also be taking on former World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar while Finn Balor and Edge look to end their rivalry inside Hell in A Cell.

Balor, who has been sporting a new look with the Judgment Day, promised to bring back his “Demon” persona for his blow-off match with the WWE Hall of Famer.

WRESTLEMANIA 39 NIGHT 1

While still without a confirmed show-ender for Night 1, the two huge storylines for Sunday (Philippine time) are the Bloodline and the feud between Austin Theory and John Cena.

This year’s Mania will sport the theme of “Going Hollywood” and what better way to open up the event than seeing Hollywood star Cena in action against Theory for the United States Championship.

The first night is expected to be filled with the vibes of Hollywood as the movie-like story of the Bloodline goes full throttle.

The team of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens will take on the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, The Usos in a highly dramatic match. After months of being involved with Reigns’ stable, Zayn veered away and challenged his former “brothers” in a blockbuster match on Sunday.

Women’s Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley will also have her chance to shine in the spotlight against Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s title.

Flair was Ripley’s first dance partner at Mania back in 2020 and it was the former who took the victory and the NXT Women’s strap away from the latter.

The team of Damage CTRL (Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai) will square up against the trifecta of Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus and Lita while Youtube star Logan Paul will match up against Seth “Freakin’” Rollins in what promises to be a match with high-flying spots.

The blood feud inside the Mysterio family will also reach maximum levels as the legendary Rey Mysterio takes on his son Dominik in a Son vs. Father match.

Rey was inducted to the HOF on Saturday (PH time) with Dom walking out during his father’s speech, further heightening the tension before their much-awaited bout.
