MANILA, Philippines—The Hiroshima Dragonflies completed a weekend sweep of the Kyoto Hannaryz after a 76-63 win on Sunday in the Japan B.League at Hiroshima Prefecture.
Kai Sotto led the way for the Dragonflies with a near double-double performance of 11 points and eight rebounds to go along with three blocks.
Matthew Wright tallied 14 points on 5-of-12 shots from the field.
Hiroshima also turned back Kyoto by double digits, 92-76, on Saturday with Sotto posting 14 points, six rebounds and two blocks.
Kiefer Ravena and the Shiga Lakes’ four-game winning streak, however, was snapped after absorbing a 93-84 loss at the hands of the Yokohama Bee Corsairs at Shiga Prefecture.
Kiefer finished with 15 points and five assists while Daequan Jones fired 29 in the loss.
Thirdy Ravena also suffered a setback after the San-En Neophoenix took an 81-66 beating to the Toyama Grouses at Aichi Prefecture.
Thirdy’s stellar outing of 25 points, seven boards, five assists and two steals went down the drain.
Levanga Hokkaido succumbed to Niigata Albirex BB, 85-77, at Niigata Prefecture.
Dwight Ramos and Levanga Hokkaido also lost to Niigata Albirex, 85-77. Ramos finished with 10 points, including a pair of triples, and three steals.
The Ryukyu Golden Kings, meanwhile, trounced the Chiba Jets, 78-76. at Chiba Prefecture.
Carl Tamayo was, once more, used limitedly in just two minutes. He came up scoreless.
In B2 action, Jordan Heading’s hot shooting paced Nagasaki Velca once more in its win against the Saga Barunas, 84-79, at Saga Prefecture.
Heading registered 24 points on a blistering 80 percent shooting clip. He sank eight of his 10 tries from the field, including four triples.
Greg Slaughter also captured a win in the B2 Division with the Rising Zephyr Fukuoka’s 69-63 victory over the Kagawa Five Arrows at Fukuoka Prefecture.
Slaughter played only ten minutes and finished with five points and a board.
