PH men’s volleyball team officially grouped for Cambodia SEA Games
MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine men’s volleyball team has finally been included in the groupings for the indoor volleyball competition of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia next month.
After the re-draw, the Philippines was slotted in a battle-tested Group A alongside Singapore, last year’s bronze medalist Cambodia and gold medalist Indonesia.
Article continues after this advertisementThe Philippines was initially included in the official release of groupings in men’s volleyball play for the SEA Games after a clerical “error.” The Philippine Olympic Committee made an appeal with the Cambodia Organizing Committee to hold a re-draw.

Competing in Group B will be Hanoi silver medalist Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Myanmar.
Article continues after this advertisementUnlike the men’s team, the country’s women representatives for the SEA Games have been placed in Group B alongside Vietnam, Cambodia and Singapore.
Group A will be composed of Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar and Malaysia for women’s play.
AMC-Cotabato stars Jau Umandal, Lloyd Josafat, Kim Dayandante, Vince Patrick Lorenzo and Jayvee Sumagaysay will headline the national team in the Cambodia event.
