PHNOM PENH—Arlan Estobo Arbois settled for the silver medal in the men’s marathon with the majestic Angkor Wat as backdrop in Siem Reap on Saturday at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games.

Arbois completed the 42-kilometer course under sunny skies in two hours and 33:27 minutes to reach the podium behind Indonesia’s Agus Prayogo, who claimed the gold medal in 2:32:59.

Vietnam’s Nguyen Thanh Hoang completed the medalists by checking in third at 2:35.49.

Christine Hallasgo, the 2019 marathon champion, contributed another bronze medal for the country in the women’s marathon with a time of two hours and 50 minutes.

Team Philippines remained second overall in the 11-nation biennial meet with four gold medals, six silvers and four bronzes as of posting.
