The 2023 NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets are set to tip off on Friday, June 2 (Manila time) at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
The Heat arranged a best-of-seven championship series with the Denver Nuggets following a Game 7 victory over the Boston Celtics on the road on Tuesday to become just the second eighth seed to make the NBA Finals.
The Nuggets, who are in the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history, will be well-rested heading into the duel.
Denver, the No. 1 team in the NBA Western Conference, hasn’t played since sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers on May 23.
The Nuggets beat the Heat twice in their regular season meetings.
Two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic has been on a historical postseason run for the Nuggets, averaging 29.9 points, 13.3 rebounds, 10.3 assists.
Jimmy Butler, meanwhile, has carried much of the load for the Heat, doing it all with 28.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.7 assists through 17 games in these NBA playoffs.
