MANILA, Philippines—Veteran volleyball player Rhea Dimaculangan is now engaged.
In an Instagram posted on Monday, Dimaculangan shared that she said yes to long-time partner Raymond Jomarcel Villarete’s marriage proposal in Lake Tahoe, California.
“When the time is right, I, the Lord will make it happen,” captioned Dimaculangan, who plays for PLDT High Speed Hitters in the PVL, citing Isaiah 60:22.
“And I said YES to my happily ever after.”
Warm greetings from fellow players poured for the former Philippine national team member.
Premier Volleyball League stars Alyssa Valdez of Creamline and F2 Logistics’ Kim Kianna Dy sent their regards.
“ATE!!! Congratsss,” wrote Valdez. “OMG!!!!! congrats ate rhea & kuya raymond!!!!” followed up Dy.
PLDT teammate Mika Reyes and fellow University of Santo Tomas alumni Sisi Rondina also took time to send their well wishes.
Dimaculangan was vital in the High Speed Hitters’ 3-1 record in Pool A of the recently-concluded Invitational Conference.
