PBA: Converge taps former NBA player Jamil Wilson as import
MANILA, Philippines–Converge tapped former NBA player Jamil Wilson as a replacement for Tom Vodanovich in a bid to end its winless start in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The FiberXers made the change Tuesday on the eve of their match against the NorthPort Batang Pier at Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
Article continues after this advertisementWilson, 33, will be tasked to take a crack putting Converge in the win column after starting the season-opening conference with a 0-5 record.

He had a cup of coffee with the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2017-18 season, playing 15 games and averaging 7.0 points before being waived.
Article continues after this advertisementHis other stints were in the NBA G-League, Puerto Rico, Italy, Ukraine, Uruguay and Mexico.
Vodanovich was let go after being brought back by Converge following his one-game stint in the quarterfinals of last season’s Governors’ Cup against San Miguel Beer.
But the New Zealand-born Vodanovich averaged 20.8 points, 12.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals for the FiberXers.
Vodanovich ended his campaign wih 35 points last Saturday, but Converge lost 99-98 to Phoenix. His output came after posting just 11 and 13 points in the two games prior.
