PBA: NLEX officially signs rookies Enoch Valdez, Jhan Nermal
NLEX finally inked rookies Enoch Valdez and Jhan Nermal to contracts after their stints with their respective leagues concluded recently.
The two were given two-year deals which was announced by the Road Warriors on Monday, a few days since Valdez wrapped up his NCAA career with Lyceum and Nermal being on the losing end with Bacoor in the MPBL Finals.
“Both players have showcased exceptional talent, and we believe they will be instrumental in our pursuit of success,” Road Warriors team governor Ronald Dulatre.
Valdez was selected 18th overall in the PBA Rookie Draft last September while Nermal was taken three picks later.
But Valdez couldn’t sign a deal until after the NCAA season since it may jeopardize his eligibility under the guidelines of the collegiate league.
Nermal, meanwhile, was also busy playing in the regional league which saw Bacoor reaching the MPBL’s National Finals against Pampanga.
The Strikers, however, were swept in three games by the Giant Lanterns.
