MANILA, Philippines–NLEX is set to acquire the rights of Robert Bolick from NorthPort in a proposed trade that also involves Don Trollano, three other players and a future draft pick.

The Road Warriors said Sunday that they’ll pick up Bolick and Kent Salado from the Batang Pier in exchange for Trollano, Ben Adamos, Kris Rosales and a second round choice in next year’s PBA Rookie Draft, pending league approval.

It also appears to indicate that Bolick is set for a PBA return after a stint in Japan’s B.League lasted just one game, prompting the start of negotiations between the ace scorer and NorthPort management.

Bolick has not played a PBA game since last season’s Governors’ Cup after deciding to sign up with second division side Fukushima Firebonds.

But Bolick eventually left the Firebonds after his release was granted due to personal reasons related to his pregnant wife.

In getting Bolick, the Road Warriors are going to part ways with Trollano, who has emerged as one of the league’s best scorers.

Trollano came second to Maverick Ahanmisi in the race for last season’s Most Improved Player after a performance that many felt was worthy of a spot in the PBA All-Star Game in Passi City, Iloilo.

His best game in an NLEX jersey was a career-high 44 points in a win over Terrafirma last March.
