PVL: Ivy Lacsina joins Nxled Chameleons
MANILA, Philippines — Nxled landed its biggest recruit yet as Ivy Lacsina gives the Chameleons a big boost for its second season in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) next year.
The Chameleons on Friday unveiled Lacsina as their newest member following F2 Logistics’ disbandment.
Article continues after this advertisementThe 24-year-old player showed her versatility with the Cargo Movers, being converted from a middle blocker to a wing spiker in the last two conferences of the 2023 season.
Lacsina thrived as a spiker during Kianna Dy’s absence in the second All-Filipino Conference, emerging as the leading F2 scorer and No.8 in the league with 142 points built on 115 kills, 22 blocks, and five aces. She was also the No.4 best blocker with 0.54 kill blocks per set.
The 6-foot-1 hitter will play under Japanese coach Taka Minowa for the first time, teaming up with Jho Maraguinot, Lycha Ebon, Krich Macaslang, Cams Victoria, and Dani Ravena and reuniting with former NU teammate and setter Kamille Cal.

The former National University star, who was part of the Lady Bulldogs’ 16-0 sweep to rule the UAAP Season 84 women’s volleyball tournament, took her act to F2 Logistics months after winning her first UAAP title.
She played four conferences with the Cargo Movers including their best finish, a bronze medal in the first All-Filipino this year.
Lacsina was the second Cargo Mover to find a new home after Dawn Macandili-Catindig joined the Cignal HD Spikers, following F2’s decision to disband its PVL team to focus on grassroots.
Dy, Majoy Baron, Jolina Dela Cruz, Myla Pablo, Aby Maraño, Ara Galang, Kim Fajardo, and Mars Alba are the remaining notable Cargo Movers who have yet to reveal or sign with a new team.
