PVL: Cignal gets Jov Fernandez, lets go of 3 players
MANILA, Philippines—In what has been a hectic offseason in the Premier Volleyball League, Cignal shook up its roster on Wednesday.
The HD Spikers announced they have acquired the services of Jov Fernandez, who was a former member of the disbanded F2 Logistics squad.
Article continues after this advertisementFernandez, who decided to forego her remaining years with Far Eastern University, joined the Cargo Movers just last year after being hailed as the Best Opposite Spiker in UAAP Season 85. Her signing came just less than two weeks after Cignal landed decorated libero Dawn Macandili-Catindig, who was also from F2 Logistics.
Earlier, Cignal also announced it has let go of spiker Jerrili Malabanan and liberos Bia General and Angela Nunag.
The troika was a part of Cignal’s bronze medal finish last year in the second All-Filipino Conference following a sweep of Chery Tiggo.
