Obosa rules Stradcom cycling event
MANILA—Former national cyclist Ericson Obosa ruled the First Stradcom Cycling Cup held in Bayambang, Pangasinan, recently.
Fresh from his one-week stint in the Tour de Singkarat in Indonesia, Obosa, 30, from Manaoag, Pangasinan, peeled away from the 10-man lead pack to win by three bike lengths over Edmundo Nicolas, Jr. and Juancho Callorina, both from San Manuel, Pangasinan.
Obosa pocketed P15,000 and a trophy while Nicolas and Callorina netted P10,000 and P7,000, respectively in the event sponsored by Cesar T. Quiambao.

Rounding out the Top 10 were Rudy Roque (Olongapo City), Kelvin Mendoza (Narvacan, Ilocos Sur) Rene Esteban (San Fabian), Reynaldo Navarro (San Jacinto), Renier Clauna (Bugallon), Cris Joven (Metro Manila) and Nilo Estayo (Pozorrubio).
Taguig City-born Mangaldan resident Armel de Jesus prevailed in the novice category to win P8,000.
