MANILA, Philippines–Magnolia’s Paul Lee knocked down his 1,000th career three-pointer during his team’s PBA Philippine Cup out-of-town game against former team Rain or Shine in Tiaong, Quezon.
Lee reached the milestone with 7:44 left in the fourth quarter of the contest held at Tiaong Convention Center, draining an open shot from the top of the key after missing his previous five attempts.
SCHEDULE: 2024 PBA Philippine Cup
The jumper from beyond the arc made Lee the 10th player in history to join the exclusive club that includes great shooters and active players.
Jimmy Alapag holds the record for most career threes with 1,250 followed by Allan Caidic with 1,242.
They are followed by current players LA Tenorio of Barangay Ginebra, James Yap of Blackwater and Marcio Lassiter of San Miguel Beer, Ronnie Magsanoc, Dondon Hontiveros, Arwind Santos and Al Solis.

Lassiter was the last player to hit 1,000 threes prior to Lee, which he pulled off in June 2022.
The achievement is a fitting recognition of Lee’s reputation as one of the league’s premier shooters.
He also won the three-point shootout during the 2023 All-Star Weekend in Passi City, Iloilo.
