MANILA, Philippines — Angel Canino has returned to action in time for La Salle’s crucial final elimination game against University of Santo Tomas in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament after missing five games due to a cut on her right forearm.

The reigning MVP on Saturday didn’t start but she checked in early in the first set and scored her first four points right away as La Salle and UST fight for the last twice-to-beat bonus on Saturday in front of a soldout Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Canino was La Salle’s scoring leader in their first eight games, averaging 16.3 points per match.
