Spartan Mining chess today at Rizal Park

INTERNATIONAL Master Ronald Dableo and former Olympian IM Chito Garma will do the ceremonial moves at the start of the Spartan Mining Corporation non-master chess championship at Rizal Park Chess Plaza in Manila today.

Joining Dableo and Garma is National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) director and Spartan Mining Corp. president Luis G. Ramos, also the chair of the organizing Rizal Park Chess Foundation (RIPACHEF).

The one-day event is open to all non-master and untitled  players.

Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers, with the champion getting P5,000, the runner-up P4,000 and the third placer P3,000.

FEATURED STORIES

The fourth placer will get P2,000, the fifth placer P1,000 and the sixth up to 10th placers P500. Registration fee is P250.
