Carlos Yulo recovered from an early fall and built a little momentum heading into two more final stints, finishing in 12th place of the men’s all-around finale early Thursday morning in the men’s artistic gymnastics competition of the Paris Olympics 2024.
Yulo took the floor in his final rotation and finished with a 14.333 there despite an upgrade in difficulty in his routine. He totaled 83.032 for the final.

Paris Olympics: Carlo Paalam advances to boxing quarterfinals
Carlo Paalam came out smoking and did enough to hammer out a unanimous decision victory over Ireland’s Jude Gallagher in the men’s boxing 57-kilogram division Wednesday in the Paris Olympics.
Paalam advanced to the quarterfinals with the win, where he used his speed against the taller Irishman, who was surprisingly game and quick on his feet. FULL STORY

PH bet Kayla Sanchez vows to work harder after Paris Olympics stint
MANILA, Philippines —Team Philippines’ swimmer Kayla Sanchez vows to bounce back stronger after her 2024 Paris Olympics campaign ended early Wednesday morning (Manila time).
Sanchez placed 15th overall in the women’s 100-meter freestyle semifinals after clocking 54.21 seconds to finish seventh in her group. Only the eight fastest swimmers in the two semifinal legs advanced to the medal round.
Despite not making it to the final, the Filipino-Canadian swimmer remained proud of her Olympic debut for the Philippines and she looks to make the most of her upcoming break to recharge and bring honor to the country in her future international tournaments. FULL STORY
Hergie Bacyadan second Filipino boxer to end bid in Paris Olympics
Team Philippines’ Hergie Bacyadan bowed to Chinese Li Quian in the women’s 75-kilogram round of 16 on Wednesday, becoming the second Filipino boxer to crash out of the medal hunt in the Paris Olympics 2024.
Li, a two-time Olympic medalist, worked her jab to the fullest and gamely engaged the power-punching Bacyadan in fierce exchanges, landing the scoring punches to keep her bid alive for a gold at North Paris Arena. FULL STORY

MANILA, Philippines — Team Philippines rower Joanie Delgaco lost steam anew in the women’s single sculls semifinals C/D classification round of the Paris Olympics 2024 and was relegated to Final D, which will give her a shot at finishing 19th to 24th.
Delgaco started strong with a hope to get a higher rank in the classification round — the top three advancing to Final C — but she couldn’t sustain momentum at third place, dropping to sixth midway through the race.
She can finish her Olympic campaign with 19th as her best ranking if she triumphs in her final race in Paris on Friday at 4:30 p.m. (Manila time). FULL STORY

MANILA, Philippines — Despite the early exit, Team Philippines' gymnast Aleah Finnegan still fulfilled a long-time dream of competing in the Olympics.
She was one of three female gymnasts to see action for the Philippines in the Summer Games for the first time in six decades.
