MANILA, Philippines—After a successful first title defense, Melvin Jerusalem wants redemption next.

Jerusalem has his sights set on a rematch with Puerto Rico’s Oscar Collazo in a unification fight.

The two fought last year with Collazo taking the WBO minimumweight world title from Jerusalem.

Jerusalem had already expressed his interest in a second encounter with Collazo after claiming the WBC belt last March following a split decision victory over Yudai Shigeoka.

But a mandatory title defense against Mexico’s Luis Angel Castillo was put in place.

Jerusalem took care of business on Sunday, toying with Castillo en route to a lopsided unanimous decision win in the main event of Manny Pacquiao’s Blow-by-Blow at Mandaluyong City College gym.

The bout against Collazo could take place next year.
