FUKUOKA, Japan—Reigning Asian Tour champion Juvic Pagunsan resumed his campaign in the lucrative Japan Tour by shooting rounds of 70 and 73 Thursday and Friday to trail Australian Kurt Barnes by 12 strokes in the Vana H Cup KBC Augusta championship.
Barnes fired 67 and 64 to assemble a two-day total of 131 at the Keya Golf Club.
Japanese Akio Sadakata (66-66) lay second at 132 while first-round leader Yoshinori Fujimoto (63-70) shared third and fourth spots with South Korean Kim Hyung-sung (69-64) at 133.
Occupying fifth place at 134 are local aces Matsumura Michio and Kawai Hiroo. jgto.org
